South Asians In The Music Industry
This mini documentary was made for my Broadcast Project module for university. The piece came from my love of music and also my ethnic background. As a singer-songwriter and an Asian, I felt it was important to discuss why there are not many South Asians in the mainstream music industry.
Showreel
This is a collection of my pieces from my Advanced Practical Journalism Broadcast module during third year.
Rising Rent & Small Businesses in Islington
This piece was created in my second year module, Multimedia Production and I looked at the issue of rising rent in the capital and how it effects businesses, especially those small, exclusive companies. I journeyed to Camden Passage, Angel to speak to Victoria Beau and The Handbag Clinic, new businesses to the area and how commercialisation is effecting them.
Tube Chat
Another piece created for Advanced Practical Journalism Broadcast. Working alongside Ushma Makwana and Julia Milet wer were able to look at the craze of "Tube Chat" badges that were being handed out in London to encourage strangers to talk to each other during commutes. We were able to interview the creator of the badges, Jonathan Dunne about his work.
LGBT Hate Crime in London
This news piece was about the rise in LGBT Hate Crime after the Brexit decision. As a team, Ushma, Julia and I worked to investigate why the rise had happened and what the relationship was between hate crime and Brexit. Created as part of a group for final year module, Advanced Practical Journalism Broadcast in November 2016.
Art Therapy & Mental Health
With the budget cuts to healthcare, especially in the division of mental health, Ushma, Julia and I investigated how people are combatting their mental health issues through available art therapy in London.

Radio / Voice Pieces
Here are a few radio pieces that I have created during my time in university. These I would say are the ones I'm most proud of. Take a listen to them here or via my Soundcloud account.

Mental Health & Art Therapy:
In APJ Broadcast, we were given a theme to discuss, which was inequality. I looked at the inequality in mental health care and how art therapy is working to prevent the lack of health care funding. Created in October 2016.

Coffee Shops In London:
This piece looked at independent coffee shops in Angel and how they compete with the current commercialisation and competitors such as Starbucks and Costa Coffee.

The Simpsons Entertainment Piece:
Created for our Bi-Media Newsday, I worked on a piece about The Simpson's character Mr Smithers sexuality revelation. I worked alongside Robyn Stanton-Humphreys on this project.
